This course is the first step in achieving your licenses to work in the Security Industry. Completing this class will allow you to obtain your unarmed (Non-Commissioned) license. This is a prerequisite to obtaining your Commissioned (armed/ lvl 3) and Personal Protection (Lvl 4) license. All course work can be completed online.

***This is for classroom portion only*** 

State requirement to achieve your Commissioned (armed/level 3) licensed . This class is a prerequisite to obtaining your Personal Protection (lvl 4) license. Students completing this class must take in person self defensive tactics and a shooting proficiency. 

Successful completion of this course provides certification that you have met the classroom/online training requirements.

***DPS PSB REQUIREMENT*** 

Requirement to apply or renew your Commissioned (armed/level 3) licensed . In person training and must be completed by our state approved instructors.

Commissioned Security Officers and Personal Protection Officers shall complete six (6) hours of continuing education and complete a firearms proficiency every 2 years. 

This course meets or exceeds the state minimum standards for continuing education (classroom portion) and includes your firearms proficiency. 

This course DOES NOT include the required defensive tactics portion that must be completed for renewing your license.

This is a state mandated 16 hour course that provides state approved training for armed teachers and employees in compliance with Texas Government Code 411.1901 

*Minimum class size of 4 students. Max class size of 6 students. Restrictions apply 

This is a state mandated 30-hour course is designed to certify first responders (who are Texas LTC holders) desiring to carry a handgun while on duty. Classroom and field instructions and proficiency demonstrations are in accordance with Texas House Bill 1069. Any person with a Texas License to Carry can register and take the course. 

*Minimum Class size of 4 students. Max class size of 6 students

This is a state mandated multi day course and is designed to take you from Lvl 2 to Lvl 4 Security License.  With in person training you will go through a basic TACMED class, shoot/don't shoot scenarios, shooting from unconventional positions, low light tactics, and much more! Instructors are all former Military and Law Enforcement instructors. *Minimum class size of 6 students.
